January patients

Currently we have two patients in care. A female Common Redpoll and a Rock Dove. The Redpoll suffered a broken wing and it had already begun to heal when we got her. The wing has healed but not in correct alignment, this is not always a bad thing as often the animals learn to adapt. We moved her to the larger interior flight cage for additional rehab and she has shown great progress. Flight is possible. The Rock Dove (aka pigeon) is weak, underweight and suffered mild hypothermia. It is recovering in our infirmary and we are hopeful that a full recovery will take place.
